The Most Traded Players: Buy or Sell?!?

Kemper Trull takes a look at 3 of the most traded players in our Trade Database to tell you whether to BUY or SELL!!!

By Kemper Trull · 10/25/2026

We are now six weeks into the NFL season, so we have plenty of new data points to add to our preseason expectations. Since dynasty is a year-round game, it is never a bad time to consider making trades. Of course, determining if your team is a legitimate contender, a pretender, or a rebuilder is an essential first step.

Lucky for you, the OTC boys have a great snapshot tool to help you make that call, beginning with the League Overview Tool. This is a one-stop shop to see all your Sleeper leagues at a glance, with drill-down capability for each league.

For this Buy/Sell exercise, we'll take a look at the OTC Trade Database, the OTC Consensus Rankings (including Jax, Joe, and Trav's rankings, plus DH and KTC ranks), and the Trade Value Tool.

Here's a snapshot of the 10 most-traded players across the last week:

Marvin Harrison Jr.

  • WR33 in consensus ranks

  • #85 overall in SF ranks

  • #94 in KTC ranks

  • 20.3 in OTC Trade Value (WR35)

Marvin Harrison Jr. has been an absolute bust this season. However, a trade to the Houston Texans to reunite with his college QB has the hopium flowing once again. With only a 19% snap share, Harrison Jr. produced one of his better games of the season in Week 6 with Houston. Below are recent trades from the OTC Database.

Marvin Harrison Jr. → Jameson Williams

I know Jamo has been the poster boy for "inconsistent," but at least we've seen him put together elite games. And I have a ton of faith in his offense, but at its core, Houston would prefer to play great defense (doing so, with DeMeco Ryans calling defensive plays again) and run the ball (not doing so, with David Montgomery plodding). CJ Stroud looks like he's good at football again, which is inspiring, but MHJ will be the second option at best in this passing game. My move: SELL MHJ

Marvin Harrison Jr. → Michael Wilson + 2027 2nd

It's debatable whether you would rather have Michael Wilson or Marvin Harrison Jr. straight up in a trade. Throwing a 2027 2nd-round pick on top of Wilson makes this a no-brainer decision for me. However, I am also seeing a lot of trades of a 2027 2nd on its own for MHJ, and I'm curious enough to hang on to MHJ in those deals. This 2027 class is looking weaker and weaker by the day. Although it appears there will be some legit talent in the second round of rookie drafts, I think you will still be able to get this deal done later in the season if MHJ shows even the slightest bit of improvement in Houston. This feels like pre-trade pricing. My move: SELL MHJ for Michael Wilson + a 2027 2nd; BUY MHJ for a 2027 2nd straight-up.

Marvin Harrison → A.J. Brown, Tyler Warren, or a 2027 1st

We have seen all these deals go through 1-for-1, and I would prefer each of these players over MHJ (Brown for a contender). Tyler Warren is a smash accept, even without TEP, and I think a 2027 1st would be an amazing get for MHJ right now. Of course, there is always the possibility that he plays well in Houston and builds his stock back up, but for now, I'm pocketing the 2027 1st. My move: SELL MHJ

Verdict: SELL MHJ – It has been really dark for MHJ owners this last year+, and I think you should strongly consider capitalizing on any buzz you see to get a solid return. His value could certainly go even higher, but we have seen how low it can get, and we don't want to see it again.

Omarion Hampton

  • RB11 in consensus ranks

  • #52 overall in SF rankings

  • #68 in KTC rankings

  • 34.7 in OTC Trade Value (RB12)

Hampton has been very frustrating this season, especially given the offseason steam generated from a healthy offensive line and the addition of run-game guru Mike McDaniel as OC. But the line is still continuously banged up, and McDaniel has revealed quite a bit of touchdown risk. The RB workload is now being split evenly across three backs, and Hampton doesn't look like a good fit for the run scheme. Also, Justin Herbert suddenly sucks at football. It's a full-on disaster in Los Angeles these days.

The real question is whether you believe any of the following statements will happen:

  • Hampton will figure things out and return to being a high-upside RB

  • Mike McDaniel will fix the run scheme

  • Mike McDaniel will get fired and whoever replaces him will fix the run scheme

  • Justin Herbert will become good again and help balance this offense

Let's take a look at some trades from the Trade DB and see where we land.

Omarion Hampton → Nico Collins

This went down in a 12-team, full-PPR league, and I am definitely taking Collins in that format. Obviously, this is a contender/rebuilder question, as Collins is 27 this season, but he should still have 2-3 good years ahead of him. As the OTC boys always say, you can only really plan for the next 2-3 years in dynasty anyway, so I'll go with Collins. My move: SELL Hampton

Omarion Hampton → Bhayshul Tuten

This one is VERY interesting to me, as Tuten's stock has risen quite a bit this season. He is in a nearly opposite situation from Hampton's, as he plays for a dynamic offense with great QB play, and he is coached by one of the best offensive minds in the league. The "draft capital" stans would strongly favor Hampton, yet even with the backfield split Tuten faces in Jacksonville, I put so much weight on the entire offensive ecosystem. My move: SELL Hampton

Omarion Hampton → 2027 1st

This is where you have to pay the most attention to your league standing. It's true that Hampton is more of a rebuilder piece than a contender one, but so are 2027 picks. In the last month, Hampton's value has plummeted on KTC, from around 6,500-7,000 down to close to 4,500 today. A 2027 late 1st-round pick is currently valued at 5,150, which tells me most folks would prefer the pick. I prefer the pick in the middle-to-upper end of the round, but I would consider any 2027 1st if you still have your own 2027 1st as well. I would prefer to have multiple shots in the first round, so I don't feel pigeonholed into only looking at RB with my lone pick. My move: SELL Hampton

Hampton's KTC value chart:

Verdict: SELL Hampton - You never want to sell players low, but you also need to be honest with yourself about each player's potential future outcomes. Hampton could bounce back and be worthy of more than a 1st-round pick; Or the situation in Los Angeles could continue to devolve, and he is suddenly only worth a 2nd-round pick. I almost always prefer proven production, but I'm also interested in picking up additional capital in this draft.

De'Von Achane

  • RB6 in consensus rankings

  • #29 overall in SF rankings

  • #37 in KTC rankings

  • 36.1 points in OTC Trade Value (RB11)

Achane's season-ending injury, coupled with his still-young age, presents a very unique case in dynasty. Ollie Gordon's emergence could also create a more complicated return than we'd prefer. The trades are all over the place, and you can imagine these deals hinge heavily on contender-vs.-rebuild calculations. I will avoid the most obvious of these trades and focus more on players who still have runway ahead.

De'Von Achane → Emeka Egbuka

Egbuka entered the season as the projected WR1 in Tampa, and he has profiled as that player thus far this season. However, this offense looks broken, and it's tough to say what happens in Tampa long-term. The Bucs signed Baker Mayfield to an extension right before the season started, and they were rewarded by him playing like trash for a few weeks and then getting injured for the next few. It's hard to imagine Todd Bowles making it through the season, but a coaching change only brings more uncertainty. Egbuka's start to 2026 looks eerily similar to Khalil Shakir's start to 2025, and that's not inspiring. I think his name value is keeping his value afloat, and I would rather have Achane on my roster if I'm rebuilding. My move: BUY Achane

De'Von Achane → Parker Washington

This is a big-boy trade! Washington has emerged as a real dynasty darling, and he has become a roster lock for a fringe WR1. Washington is only 24, so there is plenty of runway remaining for him. The offense looks great, Trevor Lawrence looks great, and the division is soft. In a vacuum, I would probably lean towards the top-5ish RB, as Achane has been a true difference-maker at the position. However, since he is recovering from a torn ACL and returning to a highly questionable offensive environment (with a new threat to his touches in Gordon), I would prefer Washington in this deal. My move: SELL Achane

De'Von Achane → Kyren Williams

This one was super interesting to me because I have been a Kyren fan through thick and thin. The KTC rankings on these players are nearly back-to-back, as Achane comes in as #37 overall and Kyren is at #39. So the market views them as pretty even. For some reason, Trav absolutely HATES Kyren and has him ranked at RB28 and #114 overall. This has skewed the OTC consensus ranks quite a bit and pushed him to RB19 (Achane is RB6). If I own Achane in a league where OTC is respected, I would send to the Kyren owner and try to get pieces or picks on top. If I own Achane in a league where OTC wasn't respected, I would kick the shit out of my league mates and tell them to put some respect on that OTC name! Either way, my move: SELL Achane

Verdict: SELL Achane - It appears the name value of Achane is still strong enough to extract really strong value in the market, and we are still early enough in the season for you to possibly revamp your team and make a run. I believe he can return to dominance in the future, but I do have concerns about the offensive environment, injury recovery, and RB competition when he returns. Those concerns are enough to move Achane for the right price. To be clear, I'm very happy carrying him over to 2027 if I'm a rebuilder, but if I can get a Parker Washington or Drake London type (this trade also went through on the Trade DB), I would strongly consider it.
